80s dance and other disasters.

We had an 80s inspired dance at my school last night. I worked on my costume for probably 4 hours (of course I decided that I had to make it). It took longer than I expected. Got done, got in the car . . . and drove for an hour and a half. . . turns out that though Phoenix is laid out in a grid system, the city of Tempe had to decide not to play by those same rules. I never made it. I WAS SO MAD!

When I got home, I took a picture of my costume so that I could at least prove that I had put a really big effort into trying to go(they turned out really crappy by the way). That's when I realized that had I arrived at said event, I would have been wearing two different shoes.

This morning it decided to rain. Phoenix, you are not suppose to rain. I am suppose to be able to leave my bags of mortar outside and not have them turn into cement.

When I went to go try to salvage the wet bag of cement (60 lb bag), it decided to break, and spill all over my wet patio and mix itself up.I tried to them shovel all the cement off of the flag stone and put it into a wheel barrel. I have no where to dump a mess like that, so it is just sitting in my yard filling up with rain. I put a ton of water in it. . . in hopes that maybe it won't dry solid and I'll be able to salvage the barrel. . .

I guess if this is as bad as my life gets, that I'm actually quite blessed. . . But it has not been a fun two days, and I hope this cycle of unfortunate events ends now.

I love the outfit! Thanks for showing it off on here even if you never made it to the event.
