Interviews

Well - turns out I wrote the wrong address on my contest submission, so it came back to me and I sent it out again. It didn't really matter because the company did not get enough submissions to pay out the prizes, they had to get 30 and only got ten. . . I'm pretty sure that four of them were mine. . . Anyway, I do have a phone interview with the lady next week and might get some work out of that, so that would be cool.

I also have an group interview on September 18th at Collins College for the possibility of some teaching positions next semester, which would be awesome!

I am finally done with bridesmaid dresses, the flower girl dress, pocket squares and everything else for Kaite's wedding, so expect to see more things up on Etsy. . . though it will probably be a bit because my sewing machine decided to give out and is getting fixed. The other sewing machine that I have is also needing to be fixed.

Perhaps I will work on my website this week. . .

Here are some pictures of my contest submissions. . .

Oh, ouch!

Alexis has been having a lot of fun with this toy lately. I decided that I'd record her playing with it. . .

The camera doesn't capture it all. . . she fell flat on her back from 3 feet in the air onto the tile. Next time I think we will play this game somewhere where she can't make such a "splat" sound on the floor. I don't think it hurt her. Hopefully it knocked the chicken bone that she ate the other day out of her.

The USPS lost my contest entry that I spent a solid week and half dedicated to. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

My New (ish) Office

This is my newish office. It is located in Spare Oom. I think that Lantern Waste would probably get lost in this mess (like those 4 kids got lost in that wardrobe), which is just the way I like it. Make a mess - something nice pops up out of, just like that!

<3

Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted but getting what you have, which once you have got it you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted had you known.

A couple of things. . .

Two night ago we had a huge dust/wind storm, it was intense! The electricity went out for a bit. This picture only kinda captures what was going on. I tried to open the front door to take a picture and I was literally thrown back by the wind and had to slam my entire body into the door just to shut it. Bad idea.
Good idea. . . Garment labels! I was visiting my aunt Chara's etsy page and saw that she had some really cute garment labels. . . I asked her where she got them and she hooked me up!
